The Maids of Honour were a group of five women artists; Rachel Zavitz, Kael Rebick, Danielle Dewar, Victoria Scott, and Anonymous. Each of the artists have been variously affected by childhood sexual abuse. In the spring of 1990, they began exploring and discussing childhood sexual abuse. This previously taboo issue became an integral part of their daily conversations. Their work in SPIRITED helped them deal with their feelings on childhood sexual abuse, and encouraged the community to speak out on the topic.
